Iceland
A valid passport is required. U.S. citizens do not need visas for tourist or business stays of up to 90 days.
India
U.S. citizens require a valid passport and valid Indian visa to enter and exit India for any purpose.
Indonesia
A passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in Indonesia and an onward/return ticket are required to enter Indonesia. American citizens are required to have a visa to enter Indonesia.
Ireland
A passport is necessary, but a visa is not required for tourist or business stays of up to three months.
Israel
A passport valid for six months beyond duration of stay, an onward or return ticket, and proof of sufficient funds are required for entry. A no-charge, three-month visa may be issued upon arrival and may be renewed.
Italy
A valid passport is required. Italian authorities may deny entry to travelers who attempt to enter without a valid passport. A visa is not required for tourist stays up to three months.
Iran
Should you decide to travel to Iran despite the current Travel Warning, a passport and visa are required. Until further notice the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is only issuing pre-authorization to tourist visitors who have purchased their hotels through a Iranian tour operator and use a minimum of ground services (transfers, transportation, and guide)
Iraq
Passports valid for at least six months and visas are required for most private American citizens. An Iraqi visa may be obtained through the Iraqi Embassy in Washington D.C. Travelers should not rely on obtaining a visa upon arrival at an airport or port of entry in Iraq. Visitors to Iraq who plan to stay for more than 10 days must obtain a residency stamp at the main Residency Office in Baghdad near the National Theater or at the Karadat Mariam Police Station in the International Zone. In order to obtain a residency stamp, applicants must produce valid credentials or proof of employment, two passport-sized photos, and HIV test results. An American citizen who plans to stay longer than two months must apply at the Residency Office for an extension. American citizens who stay fewer than 10 days may obtain an exit stamp at the airport.
